A Nautical Themed Party

A nautical theme could be used for any number of different types of parties a summer BBQ, graduation party, baby shower, bridal shower,  summer birthday or even 4th of July party.  (Or a just-because–get-together, just so you could throw a nautical party!)

The color scheme tends to lean heavily on navy blue but the great thing is you can choose your accent colors.  Red is the most common for the theme and it calls to the patriotic, hence the 4th of July party.  There is also a lot of pairing with light or bright pink or baby blue.  Mint is very in right now is paired often with navy.  These colors tend to work best because they contrast well with navy.  They pop against the dark color and are very eye-catching together.  Below are pins of all different color schemes!

Make sure to find a table cloth that has horizontal stripes or chevron.  They accent a great deal of the decorations and bring more texture than a solid colored table cloth.
